ABOUT ICE CUBE
Veteran rapper, Ice Cube pioneered the West Coast rap movement back in the late 80's. His originality and endless creativity helped pave the way for a new and enticing sound for hip hop as well as a successful career in film and philanthropy. The "I AM HIP-HOP" Icon Award recognizes those who have made notable contributions of outstanding significance to the hip-hop community. Ice Cube will join the BET HIP-HOP AWARDS' Hall of Fame as the fourth "I AM HIP-HOP" Icon Award honoree. Past recipients of this prestigious award include Grandmaster Flash, KRS ONE and Russell Simmons. Known to be one of the most important figures in the rap game, Ice Cube began his career with the West Coast rap group N.W.A two decades ago. At the height of the group's success, Ice Cube broke away to start his own solo career. Soon after, Ice Cube became a major Hollywood force. He is the star, producer and catalyst for the "Friday" and "Barbershop" film franchises, all released through his own company, Cube Vision; and has become one of the most bankable actors thanks to his charismatic turns in box office hits such as "First Sunday," "Are We There Yet?," "Are We Done Yet?," "Boyz N The Hood" and "Three Kings" to name a few. Besides rap and film, in 2007 Ice Cube partnered with the prestigious McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota to establish an annual music scholarship, which annually awards one student who exemplifies creativity, talent and skill in developing a song based on the elements he provides them with. Also in 2007, Ice Cube and long time collaborator DJ Pooh announced the launch of UVNTV.com, the world's first real-time streaming television network online. Ice Cube's latest album "Raw Footage," made it to 1 on the Hip Hop/R & B charts, selling 69,234 units in its first week and 5 on overall Top 200 Album sales chart.

Jay-Z Reportedly Breaks-Up With Beyonce After The Kanye West Blow-Up!!!
Apparently Kanye's outburst during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech has caused more trouble than he could have imagined. According to an entertainment industry insiders, it caused a HUGE BLOW UP between Jay Z and Beyonce. The insider, who asked to remain anonymous, said that soon after Kanye's outburst - MTV network execs were furious. They asked Kanye to go out on stage and apologize - which he refused. Instead, our insider explained, Kanye chose to leave the event. But here's where things get interesting. While all this was happening backstage, insiders learned that Jay Z was right there with Kanye. According to our insider, "Jay Z was upset with the way [MTV] treated Kanye ... so when he saw Beyonce do what she did with Taylor - he saw it as a very disloyal move." And that disloyalty wouldn't go without being punished. According to our insider, Jay LEFT THE EVENT without Beyonce. He reportedly called up Rihanna - who did not attend the Awards show - and attended at least 2 of the VMA afterparties with her instead. Trust us guys - the drama surrounding this is about to HEAT UP!!! We'll give you more as soon as we get it!!!
"Last name Ever, 1st name Greatest". Who is this, Jay or Drake? Jay-Z: ...Drake's up next, see what he does wid it. (A Star is Born) Drake: I never cried when Pac died. But I probably will when Hov does. And if my tears hold value, then i would drop one for every single thing he showed us. (Fear)
Some say that this is between The Freemason vs. The Next Generation. Sagittarius vs. Scorpio Some say it's the battle of North America, the winner gets (or retains) ownership of Alaska. These are the rumors we've been hearing. And if that's not all, GSP has decided to be Drake's corner man, while Jay... what more can I say, Hova!
Today Sept. 8th: Jay-Z's Blueprint Moved Up To Tuesday Release (Buy on itunes) The release date for Jay-Z's highly anticipated album The Blueprint 3 has been shuffled due to bootlegging and leaks on the Internet.
The new album will now be released this Tuesday (September 8) as opposed to the original date of Friday, September 11.
Over the past two week, songs from The Blueprint 3 - mainly those produced by Timbaland - landed on net.
More recently, the entire album was leaked, prompting Jay-Z to address the issue in an interview.
"I may be the most bootlegged artist in history," Jay-Z told MTV News during a press conference. "It’s a preview. I’m excited for people to hear the album. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done, so enjoy it."
Jay-Z's benefit concert supporting the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund will continue as planned on September 11.

S. Colli was recently featured in The Midwest Leak Magazine and has been networking and mixing it up with the biggest DJ’s in the game at the Core Dj Retreats – Atlanta, Houston, and Las Vegas in November. His debut single was picked up by super dj coalition the Hittmen Dj’s and his new single featured as a bonus track on Jay Z vs Drake has already confirmed that Murphy Lee, Field Mob, and Cap 1 are going to be on the remix. I mean come on with lyrics like these it’s no wonder S.Colli is being deemed the hottest artist in the Midwest period. Heres a sample of his flow (courtesy ooo im a fooo)

We all are very familiar with Drake. Well just like Outkast did for Atlanta, Drake's introducing the world to Canada. I know what you thinking Canada and hip hop, WOW! but its true! they have the attention of the dj's labels and majors all at the same time... don't miss this years caribana in august where all the stars go to play and enjoy that Canadian flavor, EH.
"Octobersveryown," Drake's remix of last summers canadian hit, "I'm so fly" starts out this edition with the club BANGERRR!
