Mista Bourne's National Distribution Offer

On the strength of his hard work and dedication to his craft, and an amazing debut street album, "A Star Is Bourne," the artist known as Mista Bourne has been offered (a) national distribution deal(s). He is currently, reviewing his offer(s) and will be finalizing very shortly. Leading up to this point were his many on-air interviews, track previews, and print reviews.



With whom these offers came from? Well, we'll just have to wait for the finalizing. But we will tell you this, it will be with one of the following: Capitol/EMI Distribution, Sony/BMG Distribution, BMG Distribution, Vivendi Universal/MCA, or WEA Distribution (Warner Music Group).

A Star Is Bourne, consist of 15 tracks plus the bonus street anthem, MONEY STASH which was produced by Cment of Legion of Beats. Other Legion of Beats productions on A Star Is Bourne, include N***AS OF THE YEAR, which features juno-nominated Rich London, WHATCHA GON' DO, and the Urbanology Magazine choice pick, MYSELF. Other production credits on A Star Is Bourne go to Tony2Tone, Rich Kidd, Jus Doe, and Boots of Standout Music. Bourne and Tony2Tone, and Bourne and Legion of Beats boss man, Boss Legion are currently working on new singles for the national release.

Legion of Beats, known for their outstanding and consistent music production. Most notably, is their ability to produce various types of musical sounds, feels and rhythms without the use of computer programs or samples... they play everything themselves. When asked, why in this age of sampling do they tend not to do it, the non reluctant reply is, "Why give someone else credit for your own creativity, why give up so much ($$$) when you can do it completely on the merit of creativity?" Ironically enough, Legion of Beats influences are those who are sampled continuously (the classics) and those who sample frequently.



Legion of Beats members pride themselves in their ability to write full songs (lyrics, melody AND harmonies) and deliver in completeness... a finished product.

Even though they are able to deliver top notch commercial pop and R&B "chunes," they are most known for their productions with hip hop artist from around the world. Such artist include, Sonnie Sparkz out of Raleigh, N.C. (USA), Kameflazh from the UK, and top Canadian MC's out or Toronto; Richie Sosa, Mista Bourne, and Luu Breeze too name a few.


Major placements should be announced early in the year.
